FCC is to participate in Sondersland, the virtual festival that will make Spain the world capital of talent

This morning, the biggest virtual talent festival, Sondersland, was launched. It will be held from 17 to 19 September and will be broadcast live from Madrid throughout the world. The new edition of this event is organised by Trivu, the largest ecosystem of young talent in the world, in collaboration with the Government of the Community of Madrid and the City Council, and with the support of large Spanish and international companies.

FCC will be part of this festival where young people from all over the world will learn first-hand about the trends that will shape their professional future.

The launch of Sondersland was attended by Pablo González Ruiz de la Torre, founder of Trivu; Ignacio Aguado, Vice President of the Government of the Community of Madrid; Borja Fanjul, President of the Plenary of Madrid City Council and second Deputy Mayor, and Ángel Niño, Councillor for Entrepreneurship, Employment and Innovation of the Madrid City Council.

Pablo González Ruiz de la Torre, founder of Trivu, said during the launch that "talent is, now more than ever, the key to tackling the crisis we are going through. People are the real leading players when it comes to stimulating the revival of our economy and society. Therefore, with Sondersland we want to create a unique experience that engages a whole generation of young people with the keys, trends and opportunities that will shape their professional future in this new normal. Furthermore, we believe that an event of this magnitude and ambition must take place in Madrid, live from Spain, because we are convinced that together we can be the world capital of talent".

Different virtual spaces, various unique experiences

The aim of Sondersland is to virtually bring together thousands of young people from all over the world so that they can discover the most significant trends that will shape their careers, at a decisive time for a generation that has seen its future become more uncertain due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To do so, the digital festival will have a physical venue, La Nave in Madrid, from where all the content that Sondersland will present to the world will be broadcast.

Mad Stage will be the virtual stage that, during the three days, will host lectures and performances by some of the most influential young people from around the globe who have demonstrated their potential and commitment to changing the world. Its influence will serve to inspire thousands of attendees, providing the energy, optimism and vision of the future that we now need. Among the more than 30 speakers who will participate in this new edition are: the high-performance Paralympic swimmer, Alejandra Aybar; the French doctor and biotechnologist Arnaud Pourredon, who created Meditect, a platform for pharmaceutical companies exporting medicines to Africa and offering a drug authentication service throughout the distribution chain; or the winner of the EU's largest scientific competition for young people, Perttu Pölönen, who has been chosen by MIT Tech Review as one of the Innovators Under 35 Europe.

In addition, it will have other virtual spaces: Hubs, where participants will be able to interact with all the companies sponsoring the event and the opportunities they offer, The Colony, an immersive digital zone that will allow all young attendees to interact with each other as well as with the collaborating organisations, and Labs, which will offer various training experiences and challenges that will help attendees develop new professional skills and abilities.

Finally, in addition to all the above, Sondersland will host two global events with the participation of some of the key players in the talent ecosystem. Great leaders of the main Spanish companies will meet in FORUM and managers and professionals of the world of human resources in BATTLE by POW, where they will analyse the challenges and opportunities of the new decade.

More than 6,000 people are expected to participate

Last year, this event, previously known as Unleash, was attended by over 2,000 people, who shared talent, inspiring stories and ideas along with the nearly 30 speakers and artists who participated. In this new edition and due to the digital nature that it will have, the organisers expect to triple the number of attendees, to over 6,000 young people.

With the support of large companies for young talent

As in previous years, the companies most committed to talent actively participate in this festival with organisations such as the Rafael del Pino Foundation, which has been supporting the initiative since 2015, AXA, BBVA and Hijos de Rivera as Global Partners, the Secuoya Foundation as Live Partner, as well as Aqualia, El Corte Inglés, FCC, Iberdrola, Merck, with its Remerckables project, and Only You as Generation Partners, in addition to many other collaborating companies and associations.
