FCC Group receives an award for best internal communications practice for its You_diversity project

FCC has received the award for the best internal communication practice in the field of sustainability. The award was given by the Internal Communication and Corporate Identity Observatory, created by ATREVIA, IE Business School and the Capital Humano Magazine of the La Ley group in the 13th Awards for Best Internal Communication Practices.

With this recognition, the Observatory shone the spotlight on the company's "You_diversity" project, which was put in place to give greater visibility, raise awareness, and promote diversity and equity, ensure compliance with human rights and join efforts in the fight against any form of discrimination, violence or harassment.

Isidoro Valverde and Sonia Serrano, both members of the FCC Group's Labour Relations and Equity Division, attended the awards ceremony to collect the prize. Isidoro's talk explained that: “Our project is a space to fight against all kinds of discrimination". Sonia also mentioned how much this project means to the company: “You_diversity is culture, it is about creating closeness and commitment with all our people".

Commitment to equity and diversity

You_diversity was conceived primarily to bring together the company's values and commitments to equity and diversity, which encourages the participation of all the people who form part of the FCC Group through collaboration and synergy.

FCC embraces equity and diversity management as a business, social, ethical and legal imperative, adapting to the needs of the market and the very society and culture in which we are all immersed. FCC is committed to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined in the United Nations 2030 Agenda, and this space is a clear commitment to contribute directly to SDG 5 'Gender Equality'; SDG 8 'Decent Work and Economic Development'; and SDG 10 'Reducing Inequalities'.

The platform is designed to encourage and promote the transformation of the business culture in terms of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion through relevant content and training actions.

This is where we organise training and dissemination activities, together with equity and diversity-related campaigns and events, for the company and FCC businesses, and our collaborators and institutions.
